Monthly Meeting Minutes

Federation Report:
The 2008 RVBM roster was submitted. The roster contained the names of those individuals who have paid their 2008 dues. Individual’s who have not paid, will be added to the roster when their dues are paid in full.
The Federation has proposed a new “Pro-Am” type format. Please see me email to club members for details. Email sent on 12/8/07.
Old Business:
Voting on the 7 motions from the November meeting completed. The results are:
Motion 1: The priority scheduling of Club events should not be contingent on the Federation, or any other schedule. Passed (6 to 5)
Motion 2: The Club’s calendar & fiscal year runs from September 1st of current year through October 31st of the following year. The Club’s dues, for the upcoming year, must be paid in full by the November meeting in order to vote on Lake selections, Officers & Event scheduling. Passed (10 to 0)
Motion 3: Change monthly membership meetings from Sundays to the 3rd Wednesday night of every month. Did Not Pass (9 to 1)
Motion 4: Funds for the Top 6 Team Tournament are to be used exclusively for that Team’s lodging, fuel & meals. No wives, girlfriends and/or significant others will be allowed to share lodging with the Top 6 Team. Team members are expected to meet, fish & room together in an effort to best represent the Club at the Tournament. Passed (5 to 3)
Motion 5: Reward members attending the monthly meetings with 2.5 place points per meeting attended. The points would be added to the individual’s end of year (final) points tally. Did Not Pass (4 to 1)
Motion 6: Strike the “boater” retention status clause (Section II, Article 5) from the current “Official Club & Tournament Rules”. Passed (8 to 1)
Motion 7: To have the current Club Officers submit a recommendation for the boat availability & “boater” retention clause, penalties, etc. if deemed necessary.
Passed (7 to 0)
