Federation report:
·Al Purdy stated with conviction that ALL NJ Bass Federation members must abide by all state & local laws. Have all required licenses, stickers, etc. Act in a courteous & ethical manner at all times. If not, you will be disqualified. As Federal members everyone's actions represent the NJ Bass Federation & the State of NJ. It is also your responsibility to report such violations to the Tournament Director. All those reporting a violation will remain anonymous.
·All Club “tentative” 2009 rosters are to be submitted at the October meeting and payment is due at the November meeting. Members need to be a current FLW member by 12/31. Final rosters are due at the December meeting.
Old Business:
The Club had 3 motions carry over from the August meeting. The results are as follows:
·Motion 1: To increase the non-boaters rider fee from $25.00 to $40.00.
Did not pass 2 for / 9 against
·Motion 2: To strike existing rule, Section XII, Article 10, that states participants must be at the ramp at least ˝ hour before the start of a tournament or a penalty is assessed.
Did not pass 0 for / 11 against
·Motion 3: To amend existing rule, Section VI, Article 4, by removing the language “The priority scheduling of Club events should not be contingent on the Federation or any other schedule”.
Passed 6 for / 5 against
The Club voted on the dates for the 2009 Lake schedule. Here is the 2009 schedule.
1.May 17th Sunday Candlewood Lake, CT
2.June 27th Saturday Lake Champlain, NY
3.June 28th Sunday Lake George, NY
4.July 12th/13th Saturday/Sunday Ballston Lake, NY
5.August 9th Sunday Merrill Creek Reservoir, NJ
6.August 29th Saturday Copake Lake, NY
7.August 30th Sunday Oscawana Lake, NY
8.September 20th Sunday Lake Hopatcong, NJ
9.October 4th Sunday Newark Watershed, NJ
Note that tournaments 2 & 3 and 6 & 7 are over the same weekend. Only Ballston Lake will be considered as a 2 day event.
New Business:
A new motion was put forth and (second) at the meeting.
·Motion: Effective for 2009, the Tournament Directors annual dues will not be paid for out the Club’s General Fund. The individual will be responsible for paying the dues.
Reminders:
·Officer nominations will be held at the October meeting.
·A 2009 valid New York State license is required to fish the Hudson River event on Sunday, October 4th.
·Members must have a valid FLW number by 12/31/08.
·Club dues, for the 2009 season, are due at the November meeting.
