Monthly Meeting Minutes
Meeting Date: May 28, 2008 Start Time: 8:00pm
Attendees:
Jim Bartolotto, Dominick Filiano, Greg Oliva, Al Starrett, Mike Cocca, Matt Gadecki, Scott Rieger, Rich Tabor, Bob Dalrymple, Andre Libraty, Bill Smith
Old Business:
There were 3 motions carried over from the April meeting. The results are as follows:
·Motion 1: The make Lake George a permanent site on the annual Tournament schedule and the event shall be known as “The Charlie Kolodiy Memorial Tournament”. Passed (11-0)
·Motion 2: To change existing rules (in section VI) that state that voting on Lakes for the upcoming season will take place at the August and finalized at the September meeting (as opposed to the current October/November timeframes).
oIt was agreed upon to table this motion to the next meeting (June) due to the fact that others rules need to change in conjunction with this change (ie; timeframe for payment of Club dues, etc.)
·Motion 3: In a situation where there are not enough Member boats available for a Tournament, a last resort scenario would be to use an Observer’s boat. A new rule would read: “The Observer can be a boater if a boat is needed due to lack of boater participation or breakdowns”. All current Observer rules remain the same.
oIt was agreed upon to table this motion to next meeting. The motion, due to insurance reasons, will change to read the Observer must have valid insurance and either be a member of the TBF or (if not a TBF member) sign an insurance waiver.
New Business:
In honor of Charlie’s passing, the Kolodiy family is looking to have t-shirts made commemorating the 1st annual “Charlie Kolodiy Memorial Tournament”. The family asked if there would be interest from the Club members in purchasing some shirts (all proceeds from the sales would be donated to JFK Hospital). It was agreed upon to advise the family that the Club would purchase shirts.
Reminder: Next Club Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, June 8th at Lillinonah Lake, CT.
Remember to notify the Tournament Dir. by the Wednesday before if you are fishing.
