Big Ben Continues his Dominance

Winning his 4th tournament of the year as well as 3rd in a row!!
Doesn’t matter where we fish.. Saratoga.. Merrill.. Candlewood  Ben just keeps putting up big bags.

May 6th Merrill Creek

The bass were in full spawn for this event and Reining 2014 AOY Ben Keysper wasted no time in taking home his first victory of the season with an impressive 15.56 lbs of bedding bass, as usual the tube was Ben’s bait of choice…
2nd place was Greg Oliva with 13.50 lbs. who used a dropshot 4″ worm in shallow rocks tempting the spawning smallies and 3rd place with 12.75 lbs was Nick Jr. who also targeted the beds with a hair jig…

May 31st Lake Hopatcong

Our first paper tournament of the season found us on familiar home waters.. Nick Jr. knows the lake as well as anyone as proved by his second victory of the young season. Nick is an up and coming angler looking to unseat the old guys from the top of the club standings, he tallied 11.71 lbs on a pretty tough afternoon targeting both grass and docks..
2nd place was Greg Oliva working the dropshot again for 10.56 lbs.. and 3rd place was taken by Rich Tabor with 9.93 lbs..

June 13th Lake Hopatcong

Making a return to Hopatcong for a Saturday event turned out to be a close one! Greg Oliva put the dropshot roboworm to work again tempting 12.06 lbs.. of largemouth for the victory barely edging out Ben Keysper’s 12.00 lbs.. also taken on a dropshot zoom centipede.. Newcomer to the tour Tyler Reasoner put his brand new dropshot rod to work bringing in 10.37lbs.. of green fish for a 3rd place finish.. Nice job Tyler.. word is this kid can defiantly fish!

As we move to upstate NY for Saratoga next it will be nice to bring the fish back to the scales and get some pictures.. Glad paper tournament season is over!
