Early registration checks & applications must be received 7 days before event.
Boat/livewell and check in begins 5:30am - 6:30am ($10. launch fee).
FIVE bass limit per boat. Four ounce penalty for each bass not released alive.
Pay-outs based on 20 boats
1st Place - $800.
2nd Place - $500.
3rd Place - $300.
Lunker - $400.
Tournament Rules:
Each boat must have working livewells, running lights and kill switch. Each participant must wear a life jacket while the gas motor is in operation. Anglers failing the boat check will not receive a refund. Official time will be announced; late penalty will be one pound per minute. (Disqualification after 10 minutes) No fishing within 100 feet of an anchored tournament boat. No one may leave the boat to catch or land a fish. No natural bait is permitted. All local, state and federal laws and regulations on boating and fishing apply. FIVE bass limit per boat (12 inch minimum). Official weigh-in bags must be used. One courtesy check (without penalty) per bag will be allowed. Use of alcohol or drugs will result in disqualification. Minimum age: Boater 18, Rider 16 (13 if fishing with parent or guardian). Failure to abide by rules of sportsmanship & integrity will be reviewed by the tournament committee and a possible disqualification may result.
GENERAL RELEASE, WAIVER AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT:
By signing this release and waive of rights I am giving up my right to sue the Raritan Valley Bassmasters, their members, directors and officers, the New Jersey bass federation and FLW-TBF and releasing them and holding them harmless even from the effects of their own negligence, for any personal injuries I may sustain while participating in said tournament. I understand that this release is legally binding, and even if I am injured or killed due to negligence or wrongful conduct of a Raritan Valley Bassmasters, New Jersey bass federation and/or FLW-TBF. and/or their members, directors and officers, that I cannot sue or make any claim to recover for such injuries. (If someone intentionally injures me, this release will not prevent me from suing them or making a claim for personal injuries.) This release is intended to be binding upon my spouse, my estate, my personal representative and/or my beneficiaries or dependents. I understand that there is good and valuable consideration for the making of this release. I understand that I am giving up the right to sue members of the Raritan Valley Bassmasters the New Jersey bass federation and/or FLW-TBF and that they are giving up the right to sue me. I understand that I do not need to sign this release, waiver and hold harmless agreement, and that I am not forced to sign this release and waiver. However, unless I sign this waiver, intending it to be binding, I cannot participate in the fishing tournament conducted ?.
Obtain low boat number by registering in advance.
All boaters must carry at least $100,000 boat liability insurance. Each boat must have at least one working livewell. Each boat must have a working kill-switch. Engine horsepower must not exceed US Coast Guard rating on boat. Boat must be a minimum of 14 ft. in length. Scoring shall be determined by total weight. The tournament winners will be determined by the total weight of 5 fish accumulated during the tournament. There will be a 1 lb penalty for any fish weighed in that is not at least 15 inches. Penalty of 4 ounces will be charged for legal fish not kept alive. Only artificial lures may be used. No "live" bait will be permitted, with the exception of pork type strips, rinds, etc. Tournament waters are the ? and it's tributaries from the federal dam at Troy to the Tappan-Zee Bridge. No locking-through allowed. Contestants must not depart boat to land fish. Tournament boats must not leave tournament waters to be trailered during tournament hours. All waters are off limits from 6:00pm Friday until the start of the tournament; anyone fishing after 6:00pm Friday will be disqualified. Contestants not cleared at check-in on time shall be penalized one (1) pound off total weight for each minute late; a contestant arriving at the dock more than ten (10) minutes late shall lose all weight for the day. All protests must be delivered to the Tournament Committee in writing along with a $25 deposit, before the flight's official weigh-in; the Tournament Committtee's decision is final. If the protest is valid, the deposit will be refunded. No alcoholic beverages or drugs will be allowed in the possession of any contestant during the tournament hours or at the weigh-in. The interpretation of these rules shall be at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.
